We have been able to make arrangements for students at Big Sky High School to earn a semester's credit for working with the Volunteer Corps. We are in the process of working with the other Missoula County high schools to develop a similar arrangement. The following information will help you understand current credit requirements at Big Sky - and potential requirements at the other schools. REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend, in their entirety, three WVC weekend projects.
- Attend two lectures (UM, USFS, community, etc.), OR one day-long conference/seminar on a topic related to one of the weekend projects.
- Write a summary and analysis of each of the above experiences: Weekend project: 3-5 pages Lecture: 1-2 pgs; Conference/seminar: 2-3pgs.
- Develop an independent project with the following parameters:

create a presentation about a topic you have gained some expertise in through your participation in WVC |

the presentation may take a variety of forms, including written, oral, multimedia - video, web site, slide show, Powerpoint, poster |

deliver the presentation to a target audience who will benefit from the content of the presentation. |
GRADING SCHEME:
40% - Attendance & participation
20% - Journal quality
40% - Independent project
